On the first weekend of each month I give free hugs to strangers downtown Guelph, ON Canada. I have given and received over 700 hugs from people that I do not know but people who have shown me love.
I know that I am spreading kindness in my community because the people that I have hugged vow to share more hugs with others. Kindness is contagious. Once we get that hit of “feel good medicine” we want to keep it going.
I encourage you to hug more. Together we can reduce the stigma that surrounds hugging strangers. People need love, kindness and hugs. Hugging just feels good.
