Club TKO Testimonials!

Club TKO has been busy during their first semester of school! Participants have organized multiple events throughout the past few months to promote kindness and inclusivity in their school. You can read about some of the amazing things they’ve been up to in this post. We think it’s pretty amazing what these kids, ages 8-11, have been able to accomplish in such a short amount of time and we can’t wait to see what they’re up to in 2020.  As you and your family set resolutions for the new year, we hope being kind and inclusive to others is at […]

The Gift of Giving!

The Gift of Giving!

Happy Holidays and best wishes into the New Year! As 2019 comes to an end, I’d like to share with you a cherished tradition that my family partakes in every year during the holidays. Instead of the standard white elephant theme where you draw a name of a family member and purchase a gift for them, we do a similar format but with a charitable spin on it. I shared this tradition with Kim a few years ago when someone in my family learned about and supported the Infinite Smile Project in my name. Kim loved the idea and asked […]

Movie With a Message ~ Holiday Edition

Movie With a Message ~ Holiday Edition

It’s that time of year that as soon as Thanksgiving strikes midnight, my kids begin the search on our smart TV for all the holiday movie classics. They have their favorites we watch each year and of course throw in my favorite (because it IS the best one), Elf. This year we tried a few new ones now that the kids are a bit older and can understand the larger meaning of the holiday and the spirit of giving. For those that don’t know me and what I do for work well, I am more than blessed with the team […]

The Greatest Gift This Holiday

As many of my friends can attest to, our kids have too much “stuff” today. I don’t enjoy throwing birthday parties or buying Christmas gifts for my kids simply because they don’t need anything. They have meals, shelter, a highly ranked and fantastic school and teachers, and an incredible amount of love. Their basic needs are met however we are fortunate enough to take vacations and show them the world, other cultures and experiences. I want to practice what I preach to them and not focus on material things both for me and them but as I already knew, I […]

The First TKO Club in the U.S. (mentored by TKO, London) Has Been Busy & We Are So PROUD!

Club TKO is up and running and our Ambassadors are doing pretty amazing things. In only 8 weeks they have spread kindness and leadership across their campus, impressed their parents, teachers and even their Principal with their excitement, dedication and ideas on how to make their school amazingly kind and inclusive. One of the components of club I wanted the most for the Ambassadors was leadership experience. With technology so prevalent in their daily lives, personal touches, working with others face to face, interacting with peers, adults, leaders and other stakeholders in the community is a lost art in a […]

Unseen Tours

Taking a trip to a big city in which I have lived, twice, proved challenging when planning outings and tours for my kids first real big trip. As much as I love to travel, I despise organized tours. I much rather find off-the-beaten-path landmarks and guides or creative ways to see a new (or in this case familiar) city. No one wanted to do the running tour with me at 7:00 am (clearly they are lazy), so I opted for something different for all of us later that same day. My only error in this brilliant plan was doing them […]

Resources to Spread Kindness While We Need it Most

This past week my kids school started the first Kindness & Philanthropy club. It’s been a lot of work but exciting and fun to see the kids already take to the activities and welcome the students this year in such a meaningful. What has been an added bonus are the various emails and texts from the parents of these children with recommendations, articles to share on human kindness, things our world needs and various ideas on how to spark this flame we are hoping to create in our own kids, school and community. One of the things sent to me […]

Friends Who Serve Together, Stay Together!

Fun and paint! A little over a year ago, our Ambassadors helped out Ken Korver, the president of The Compton Initiative Organization, and his image of restoring the City of Compton. Our volunteers woke up bright and early that Saturday morning to help beautify its buildings.  At the arrival site, hundreds of people of all cultures and all ages were brought together and welcomed with free breakfast and music. Loud speakers surrounded the area in hopes of hyping everyone up and prepare them for the work ahead. Before sending the volunteers to their assigned work sites, the President and Vice […]

Celebrate This Independence Day by Giving Back!

Celebrate This Independence Day by Giving Back!

We’re about two weeks away from celebrating Independence Day! While you may be anticipating BBQs, pool parties, fireworks, and some quality family time; there are many people who will not be spending the holiday with their loved ones. This month we challenged you to write letters to a deployed troop, veteran, new recruit, or first responder in honor of their dedication to protecting us. If you haven’t had a chance to sit down and write those letters, it’s okay! There is still plenty of time to gather your supplies and ship your letters to Operation Gratitude. Head on over to […]
