Kindness, Kids & Meaning to the 4th of July This Year

The 4th of July – one of our most cherished holidays in the U.S., if not the most cherished. It’s uniquely ours and fun for all ages, genders, and cultures from coast to coast. This month we are calling all kids and/or families to remember those who aren’t home celebrating with us. Why? Because they are away from their beloved country fighting so we can keep what we get to enjoy every day – our freedom. For this month’s campaign we are making it a family OR friend affair. Kids, adults, neighbors, new friends – anyone can do this. You can […]

Our Valentine’s Day & How Families Can Help Kids With Broken Hearts

Our Valentine’s Day & How Families Can Help Kids With Broken Hearts

Each year one week in February is Congenital Heart Defects Awareness Week. Along with Valentine’s Day this year we celebrated CHD Awareness Week at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County’s Heart Patient Reunion Party. Other than dropping off donations to CHOC, we have not been there since Angel’s surgery in 2013. For those of you new to ISP, these are two of many photos of the time that inspired us to start the Infinite Smile Project. As new parents stepping into this world of terminology and technology we didn’t understand – a scene like this was something we weren’t prepared for. Rounds of doctors […]

Our Final Post & Thoughts On Year 1 of ISP|Happy Holidays!

As Christmas is upon us and our family festivities are about to begin for the next two weeks, everywhere I went I was asked that same question, “Do  you have all your Christmas shopping done?”. Nope. “Are you close?”. Not at all, not even close….not a single thing done. BUT, we managed to get our holiday cards out, all 225 of them. Does that count as being on top of my game? It should. I am sick again for about the 15th time this year (normally I am never sick), no shopping done, didn’t even get down to the […]

What is the #1 Way to Sustain Happiness? It’s Probably Not What You Think.

Did you know that research has proven that the single most influential factor to sustained happiness is acts of kindness and service to another? To do something greater than yourself, reach out to another human being or engage in a cause that you feel is worthwhile. Studies have shown time and time again that social status, wealth, culture, religion, material items……none of these can sustain happiness in life alone. But with consistent acts of charity, philanthropy or kindness a life of happiness is possible. We noticed our blog post did not email out this past week. In case you missed […]

The Meaning of Our New Childrens Book, Dylan & Delany, Is Deeper Than You May Think

Link to Kickstarter Click Here Many of you know how the Infinite Smile Project started and why we developed our book series and programs to teach kids kindness, but many of you don’t. Some of you knew us before having the twins, after having them, during the wait for “Angel’s” heart surgery, once she was better and some of you – still don’t know us but came across ISP and fell in love with what it does and will continue to do in the world. Our launch was behind about 50 days but it was well worth it. We met […]

The Single Most Important Piece In the News Today – And It Doesn’t Involve ISIS or Ebola

I have a love/hate relationship with social media. I have friends all over so I love that it keeps me connected with them but hate that it has caused so many problems in our youth. There is no truer statement than the one I have heard lately, “I am so glad social media, camera phones and fingertip technology wasn’t around when I was in school”. Amen. What has been cool about social media however in these past few months is watching the ideologies of ISP flourish and grow to over 10K followers on Facebook and over 5K on Instagram in […]

Can Kindness Be a Non-Profit? YEP! ISP kicks off this week with contests, giveaways and some new friends…..

That day is here! The Infinite Smile Project is officially launching to the public and we are going to have some FUN. Although non-profits are wonderful regardless of their purpose or cause – I think many of us can agree when we think of the words “fundraiser” and “non-profit” we think of formal dinners and speeches, golf tourneys and did we say speeches? Well, welcome to ISP – our goal is….and always will be…..to raise awareness, develop programs, conduct fundraisers and recruit volunteers all in the name of kindness while dripping with fun. Don’t forget, we were mentored by the […]

The Real Story behind the Ice Bucket Epidemic

The Ice Bucket Challenge. Have I done it? No. Would I? Sure, but I would rather give the $100 donation for ALS directly instead as selfies and an all eyes on me video just makes me a bit uneasy. If you look at my past performing for thousands of fans in a stadium and teaching fitness in front of others you would think I love being on point in front of an audience but I much prefer sitting on the sidelines myself. Plus, everyone that knows me knows I hate the cold. I mean really hate the cold – […]

The Infinite Smile Project’s story in OC’s biggest newspaper

This is our half-page article in the Orange County Register on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Thank you so much, Suzanne, for making this happen. We were so excited about our article and all the amazing feedback we received today. We are truly blessed. Life never stops at the Esmond household. A husband that makes the dreaded 405 commute from Orange County to LAX every day, two crazy toddlers, and me, the creator and owner of a multi-city children’s dance company running over 145 classes a week and managing 20 instructors. I doubt there is a need to state that I […]
